AhlulBayt News Agency: The Ministry of Health in Gaza has warned that hospitals are facing a severe crisis due to a shortage of medical equipment and supplies. Operating rooms, intensive care units, and emergency departments are struggling with worn-out equipment, making it increasingly difficult for medical staff to provide adequate care.
In a statement released on Monday, the ministry reported that hospitals in Gaza lack essential mobile X-ray machines and anesthesia equipment. Additionally, surgical supplies for specialized procedures such as orthopedics, vascular surgery, and ophthalmology are unavailable, further complicating medical operations.
The ministry also highlighted that critical medical gases, including carbon dioxide, as well as medical fabrics, beds, and infection control supplies, have been completely depleted. The ongoing blockade has also led to a shortage of food supplies for hospital staff working around the clock.
Officials stressed that the acute shortage of medical equipment and general supplies is worsening the crisis, severely hampering the ability of healthcare teams to treat patients effectively.
